Law Student
Queen’s University Law School
Andrei Uzumtoma is a second-year law student at Queen’s University Faculty of Law, and he is thrilled to join the firm as a summer student.
Andrei earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto, graduating with High Honours. During his undergraduate studies, he developed a strong interest in advocacy through his coursework in sports law and human rights. He was also actively involved in extracurricular advocacy initiatives, serving as Event Director of U of T Motionball, an organization that raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes. Through a series of social and sporting events, his committee raised over $13,000 in support of athletes with intellectual disabilities.
At Queen’s Law, Andrei cultivated his passion in criminal law. As a student volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada, he produced a podcast examining the proliferation of unregulated psychedelic sales in Canada. Building on this work, Andrei now serves as a Fellow with the Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN), where he delivers a presentation titled ‘Drugs, Alcohol, and Psychedelics: Youth Decision-Making’ to high school students.
In his spare time, Andrei enjoys biking, playing classical piano, and practising gymnastics.
