Toronto Police Officer Charged with Child Porn |
In Toronto, a 44 year old Poland national, veteran police constable, Dariusz Kisielewski was suspended with pay after his arrest by Peel’s Internet child exploitation unit. Constable Lilly Fitzpatrick of Peel’s Internet child exploitation unit said the force acquired information from the Toronto police that prompted the investigation. The investigation on Kisielewski had begun in July 2013. In Darius‘s neighborhood in a small Toronto residential area called Old Malton Village, neighbors were perturbed to hear the news. They all said that Darius was a friendly, respectful man in the neighborhood. Many neighbors were shocked due to the fact that Kisielewski is a father of two, a pre teen and a teenager. The Peel Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit acted on a search warrant on Thursday September 5th, arresting Kisielewski at his home. He was charged with one (1) count each of possession of child pornography and production of child pornography, and three (3) counts of voyeurism. According to the Criminal Code of Canada, In Toronto the charge of making child porn could include creating, publishing, printing, or possessing the material. Although Kisielewski was a primary responder, meaning his job was to answer calls on patrol and respond, it was said that none of the allegations were related to his job or committed during working hours. The press was unable to gain much information as to how many alleged victims there were, considering that the investigation is still ongoing. |
