Impaired and stunt driving on the Highway 26 corridor
Highway 26 between Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, the Blue Mountain access roads, and the Beaver Valley corridor see a higher-than-average number of impaired driving and stunt driving charges. OPP enforcement along this stretch is consistent, with increased activity on weekends and during ski season. Charges typically include impaired driving, driving over 80 mg, refuse breath sample, and stunt driving (40 km/h or more over the limit).
If you have been charged on this corridor, call before your first court appearance. Advice at that stage is more useful than advice at the second or third.
