Richmond Hill Criminal Lawyers

Canadian law is extensive and important to all Canadian citizens and nationals. It impacts us in many ways and is the foundation on which our society is built and run. If you have been charged with a criminal offence and are in need of a Richmond Hill criminal lawyer we would be happy to extend our knowledgeable and accredited service to you. You may not think that a lawyer is necessary whether it is for cost or your perceived belief in your innocence but it is in your best interest to call us. Your initial consultation is free and we can explain the charges laid out against you so that you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Take, for example, charges like robbery and burglary. To most, they can be classified as synonyms, but they are not. Robbery is a product of theft whereby some element of violence or threat of violence is present. These crimes are considered extremely serious and can carry a penalty of life in prison.

Burglary, sometimes referred to as “breaking and entering” is forcibly entering someone’s property with the intention of committing an offence. Punishment is dependent on the place or dwelling where the crime takes place and it’s usually a lot harsher when it takes place in a private dwelling such as a home.

Let the Richmond Hill Lawyers at Ted Yoannou help navigate you through the justice system with our empathy and professionalism.

Vulgar display leads to Sexual Assault

In May of this year an individual boarded a York Region Transit bus and proceeded to masturbate in front of one of the passengers.  Upon disembarking the victim was followed by the perpetrator who sexually assaulted them outside of the bus.

Police are hopeful for any tips that may help catch the offender.

Armed robbery at local mart

The Daisy Mart in Richmond Hill was the unfortunate location of an armed robbery.  The clerk on shift that day was not hurt after succumbing to the alleged robbers’ demand of cash while having a firearm pointed in his/her face.

The robbers are said to be two black males between the ages of fifteen and twenty.  Police are requesting help with information or tips relating to the incident.
